This trip to the moon doesn’t originate in early 1900s Paris, but in post-millennial Chinatown the spirit of pataphysics lives on through a gastronomic fortune teller reminiscent of Chang’e, the ancient Chinese moon goddess. Here, we meet a disenchanted anarchist in the doldrums of late-stage capitalism. Our reluctant heroine is a cross between America’s most favorite antiheroes: Neo, Alice, and V. After being propositioned by a familiar white rabbit to question the matrix and escape the stratosphere for wonderland, she returns to earth with a vendetta that stands to change everything...

Tasked with bringing the aforementioned references to life in coincidence with Soup’s iconic gate mural, featuring three furtive rabbits surrounding a wide-eyed young girl inside a big bowl of ramen, artist duo Zim+Teemo illustrated our latest installment of Alphabet Soup.

Replete with lyrical interludes and a cinematic centerfold recalling Bladerunner’s iconic cityscape, this story recreates familiar self-talk scenarios many of us are wrestling with on the brink of Aquarian realignment.
